Hmm maybe i didnt make my self clear.
By drop down i mean an un-intrusible non-screen modifying User Interface control like a drop down which aligned right below the transaction in question, listing all past transaction descriptions that match with the keyword typed. Matching could be based on the Key word found any place within the description but with priority given to descriptions where the first word matches and so on. the combination with Key Style auto completion will enhance the ease in data entry.

Wow you said it... I was just getting so annoyed seeing all those unwanted menus and windows, Fields, Settings, Reports etc with business and invoices etc

There are enough and more competitive software for business finance management one good example what I use for my business is Dolibarr...

A personal finances software is basically for home finance management. So I feel that it should be separated from ERP functionality... No harm if you have them in GnuCash but its best if its like an addon module or a totally independent software or something in similar terms.

    I just noticed a typo :(
it should be "But easier would be to have Up and Down arrows to rearrange transactions by just selecting the transaction (row) and clicking on the up or down arrow buttons."
