Just found that I can show the "placeholder" attribute in a column in the accounts screen. And, even better, I can change the attribute just by clicking on the indicator. Great! Thanks, GNU
Now, for a column for the "hidden" attrribute
An error occurred while saving the comment Peter Ridgewell commentedPS. On balance, it's still preferable to have old dormant accounts tagged as placeholders to stop them coming up in the pop-up list on the transactions screen
An error occurred while saving the comment Peter Ridgewell commentedSetting the account as a placeholder seems OK at first. If it's an account to which you no longer want to add transactions, then it might as well be a placeholder. However, if you then want to view the transactions in that account, you have to first remove its placeholder status. A bit fiddly, a bit of a pain - but then perhaps I'm just being picky.
On the same note, it would be great to have an indicator on the accounts screen, say in an additional column, that shows if an account is placeholder, or hidden - rather than having to open the account for editing to see its status

An error occurred while saving the comment Peter Ridgewell commentedYes, please! This seems like an omission to me. Surely the amount is an important factor in a scheduled transaction and it would be nice to see it in the list rather than having to open the transaction

Good point.
An error occurred while saving the comment Peter Ridgewell commentedI find the calendar rather useless, too. Almost every time I drag the top of it down to I can see my list of scheduled transactions
