    I was able to accomplish this (with the help of my son :) by including the following in a gtk-3.0.css file in the folder, C:\Users\{MyName}\AppData\Roaming\GnuCash

    .gnc-class-user-register-cursor {
    background-color: navy;
    color: white;
    border-radius: 0px;
