The PRIMARY reason I want to use GnuCash is for the MySQL backend... <b>and it isn't there!</b>
I've read all the caveats. I agree in blood to not write any of the tables outside of GnuCash. But the ENTIRE reason I'd abandon QuickBooks is so that I can easily access data from the MySQL ERP that I built for our small not-for-profit organic co-op farm.
When I downloaded, I had read all the docs, and had NO IDEA that they were wrong! I struggled for HOURS trying to figure out why I could only use XML or SQLite.
If you're going to disable MySQL, please AT LEAST correct the documentation, so people won't get less than they think they're getting!
