    There is a similar feature request, "Allow Filter By settings to be saved and reused", that if implemented will partially solve this request. I say partially because every year I will have to change the date filter of every one of my 70 accounts, but it will be a first step... :-)

    If I haven't missunderstood uwe188, he refers to the fact that when you open an account, by default it shows all the assets you have entered, most of them several months or even years old, that are useless on the day by day work. Of course, you can filter by date every individual account, but I also miss a global (all the account tree) filter where you can filter by date all the accounts in one operation, and it should be saved as a user preference. There is an option in the Preferences menu, Accounting Period, that filters the totals, but not the assets you see.
