Distribute latest update in non-flatpak method.
I use Lynix Mint. The lasted update for GNUcash flatpak distribution tells me that it is going to use 3.4 GB more disk space.
Every flatpak distribution takes more and more disk space. This seems to be intrinsic to flatpak deployment. flatpak takes more and more disk.
Disk space is neither free nor unlimited.
Yours is not the only Flatpak distribution that take more and more disk with each update. It is a "feature' of the distribution method. I implore you to support a method that does not fill my
I would use the "System" update, but it is stuck and version 1.46.
Please help save my disk.

The distribution repo is controlled by the distribution, not GnuCash. Especially in Ubuntu, it tends to be wildly out of date, and the only way to get a *slightly* more modern version of GnuCash is to upgrade the whole system. Which is often not feasible especially with some of the forks like Mint. Flatpak avoids those problems. Another way would be to set up a separate repo for GnuCash that can be added to the apt search listings (used by software like Libreoffice and Onedrive Client), but that requires somebody to maintain it at GnuCash and complicates system updates somewhat.
Yes, flatpak tends to hog space; usually not a problem but it can be.
